Research Programs: REFUNDU
- Although we highly recommend submitting your materials before March 29, this is not a hard deadline. We will begin making offers of admission to REFUNDU and STEER on March 29, and we will continue to review applications until all slots are filled.
The REFUNDU program is an undergraduate research program for UND students that is funded by the Dean's Office of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The goal of the program is to enhance the ND INBRE initiative to attract talented basic and behavioral science undergraduates to professional careers in the health sciences. The program provides a 10-week summer research experience under the direction of selected faculty members in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The research themes will include opportunities for research in the basic, behavioral and translational sciences. Seminar programs will cover the range of basic science to community-based research programs.
The REFUNDU program has 10 openings for the summer of 2010 for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. Participants will receive $4,000 based on a 10-week, 40 hours per week research experience. Interested participants must complete an application, including an autobiographical sketch, and submit their college transcript and two letters of recommendation. Final applicant review and award notifications will begin on Monday, March 29th, and continue until all the positions are filled with qualified applicants. The program will begin Monday, May 31, 2010.
You can apply on-line or download the application here (Word or PDF).
