Mission Statement
The North Dakota INBRE Office of Undergraduate Research seeks to enrich the academic experience of all undergraduates in North Dakota by providing research and scholarly experiences in their chosen fields. The office promotes inquiry, discovery, and creativity in all disciplines through faculty-student mentoring relationships and the integration of instruction with research, scholarship, and creative activities.
Work In Progress
The goal of the ND INBRE initiative in Undergraduate Research is to serve as a clearing house to highlight opportunities for students to participate in Undergraduate Research in North Dakota. The ND INBRE encourages all institutions of higher education in the State of North Dakota to use its website to highlight opportunities for undergraduate research on their respective campus. The posting of these opportunities is a work in progress and the ND INBRE encourages undergraduate students to frequently monitor the website for new opportunities in Undergraduate Research.
Support for Undergraduate Research
The North Dakota INBRE Office of Undergraduate Research is not intended to be an "employment agency". The ND INBRE's primary goal is to provide undergraduate students with laboratory experience. While pay or honorariums are available for some positions, most are voluntary or for credit only. The research experience and training the students receive has been shown to directly benefit their education and helps prepare them for future success in their careers.
