North Dakota students earn awards at International
Science and Engineering Fair


June 02, 2014 - Thirteen top winners of the 64th Annual North Dakota State Science and Engineering Fair (NDSSEF) hosted by the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks on April 3-4 advanced to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), in Los Angeles, CA, the world's largest international pre-college science competition.

          Methylmercury: The potential Perspective in Relation to Human Diseases”

        “The Fungicidal Impact of Detrimental Weeds on Soybeans”

  • Tyler Gordon Toepke-Floyd, 18, Wishek High School
          Environmental Management (4th Award)
         “Emission Reduction Using an Activated Carbon Supplement”

Intel ISEF provides an annual forum for more than 1,500 high school students from 65 countries, regions, and territories to showcase their independent research as they compete for over $4 million annually. The Intel ISEF is the premier global science competition for students in grades 9–12.
